This is a very, very long shot, but amongst my late father's old photos are a set of photos taken at a wedding at Affpuddle church, I assume from the early 1950s. The 'guard of honour' was performed by some girls from the Bere Regis Girl Guides. I have no idea who the happy couple are, so would like to know who they were.
Note: On the Goddard side of my family, they came from nearby Puddletown.
It would be nice to think that someone might still be around that recognises some of the people, and some of the Bere Regis Girl Guides may still be around! I assume the bride's family came from Affpuddle, as I believe it was (and is still?) the tradition that people were married in the bride's parish.
