Energy Economics
(or how much oil is your horse worth?)
– by David Sharman
A study of energy, from the industrial revolution to beyond.
How it has affected us, employers, nations, wars, poverty, greed. Where will it go?

7:30 p.m. Wednesday 16th October 2019
Admission £3
Includes tea coffee biscuits.  Wine is available at cost.
David has travelled the world as an engineer, mostly in the energy sector.
Now based once again in Dorset he will talk to us about how energy has shaped our world, from the Tolpuddle martyrs, revolutions, wars, and even the landscapes we see before us, as well as in our own personal bank accounts.
Two centuries of extraordinary change have passed, and humanity is only mid way through this epic drama.
David will explain how the choices we are collectively making now will affect our own lives in years to come, and those of our descendants.
