Bere Regis Village History Fund

This Fund was set up in 2006 to provide a way to finance new Aquisitions for the Village History Collection. A new Aquisition could be anything from -
Old Photographs
Old Village Postcards
Old Documents
The material is scanned and put in our Online Village Website Galeries. The physical copy is held in trust in the village and is available for display whenever a relevent Exhibition is held.
Some material is donated to the Village but there is alot more material that is avaiable for a price from both Private & National Collections. Over the next few months the fund will highlight Collections that we would like to either buy or get scanned copies from.
We hope through the 'Donate' button online or via cheque in the post, that people will feel willing to donate some money to help finance these aquisitions. With each Collection the actual price of each item will be shown so you can either give a general donation or you can specifically choose which item you would like to help us aquire (or contribute towards). All donators will be credited to the material that they choose to help acquire or contribute towards. All General donation people will be credited on the site too. 100% of all donations will go towards purchasing items, so rest assured there are no 'managment fees' using up your kind donation. As each item is aquired we will update the site so you can see which ones are still available to contribute towards.
If you decide not to donate by cheque but instead to donate online, then the online Donation process is entirely handled by Paypal which handles thousands of secure payments every single day - it is an entirely secure process. Go to the bottom of the page and click the 'Make a Donation' button to donate. If you have any queries about Paypal you can find out more by clicking the icon below -

We can aquire Scans of these Photographs for our Collection. The Scans come in 3 different Qualitiy levels - High, Medium & Low. The quality level we pick will dictate how clear the photograph will look on the screen & what size prints can be printed out from it. Ideally we would like to get the highest quality possible, but we will get whatever your kind donations dictate you would like us to aquire. If you have provided a general donation with no specific material highlighted we will use those funds to acquire high quality material.
The Costs are as follows -
High Quality - Extremley clear resolution & can be printed to A3 sized paper - £24.70 (inc. VAT)
Medium Quality - Very clear resolution & can be printed to A4 sized paper - £18.80 (inc. VAT)
Low Quality - Clear resolution & can be printed to A5 sized paper - £9.40 (inc. VAT)
If you have any queries whatsoever about this process please feel free to email us here and we will answer all your questions!
Once aquired, the Photographs will be displayed in our Village History Section here
