This is a great photo comparison. As you can see quite alot has happened between 1933 and 2002 when this photo was taken by Simon Knight (on a Commercial Basis). My thanks go to Bob Jennings of Southbrook for kindly letting me use this image.

Where to start? The 1980's estate totally changed the view to the west of the church, as did the devleopment to its due south. West Street is surprisingly similar, though go back a block and much has changed. The Cross outside the Royal Oak seems to eb a more organised intersection now.

Overall, the village appears to have filled out as it heads into the 21st Century.
