Exiting by the 2003 entrance to the pub in 1927 would have been a most painful affair. Remarkably little traffic considering this was a big crossraods and the Model T had rolled off the production line many years before; perhaps there was something unmissable on the wireless? Either that or Fred Harris, the RAC man, is doing a GREAT job of keeping cars out of a photograph of rural architecture - now that's a good idea...
