Free Training Programme for Informal Carers
St John Ambulance is offering a free training programme to Informal Carers in Bere Regis and the surrounding areas.
Informal
Carers are dedicated people who voluntarily look after a relative or
friend in need of care. Caring for someone at home is a tough job, with
no training and little support.
This helpful programme is presented over four sessions, is free to carers
and includes a free lunch. Subjects covered include first aid, safe
handling, falls prevention, coping with memory loss and care skills
plus advice on how to manage stress.
The programme
is informal and friendly; it’s a good opportunity to meet other
carers, learn new skills and compare caring experiences.
