Bere Regis Draft Parish Plan
To all Parishioners
In May 2005 we published the results of the Questionnaire in which you gave your views about what should be included in a Plan for the Parish over the next few years.
Over the past months we have been working up ideas & plans around the 10 topics that you indicated were of most interest. The topics are:-
Traffic (safety, noise, congestion, parking etc.)
The Environment & its upkeep (both countryside and village)
Facilities for young people
Amenities and services (e.g. medical facilities, waste collection etc.)
Housing (especially 'affordable housing')
Community Hall (should we have a new one?)
Protecting against over-development (back in the news….)
Law & Order
Public Transport
Employment opportunities & tourism
The strands have now been pulled together into a Draft Parish Plan.
We would like to share the work so far with you, and to get your comments and suggestions before the final Plan is put together.
Please come along and see the draft Plan in the Drax Hall and give us your views
You can come during any of the following times – the same things will be on display at each
Saturday October 14th - any time between 10.30 and 16.30
Monday October 16th – any time between 18.30 and 21.30
Tuesday October 24th – any time between 18.30 and 21.30
Your comments and suggestions will be taken into account before a final version of the Parish Plan is prepared in November and given formally to the councils of Bere Regis, Purbeck and Dorset
