Welcome to our 2007 Newsletter!
I like to think of our site as being like a fine wine - with age it slowly matures and gets better and better! With the much appreciated donation of material and ides from Parishioners & non-Villagers I have been able to turn the site into both a modern resource of current information/news and also a veritable treasure trove of historical content on the village.
The pace of site growth has now understandably slowed down as it has matured. Iam always here to receive new material/ideas for the site, but alongside that, Iam also extremely happy that what we have here is a site that can really help people to feel part of the Village, whether they be in Bere Regis, Boston or Bondi Beach!
A few highlights from 2007 -
In the largest project in the Websites history we are gradually putting all the available scanned copies of Villagers Wills from 1559 - 1853 into Galleries within our History Section. Click here to see our progress so far.We have added historical Ordnance Survey Maps of the Village from 1887 & 1902
We have added over 50 new Photographs to the Village Photograph Galleries covering village buildings and the countryside you can find around us
We have added several new photographs to the Village Historical Photographs Galleries
We have ensured the village website is represented on far more global search engines so more people can find out all about us
We have updated the Village Organisations section to encompass the opening times/contact details of all the new village clubs etc.
We have upgraded the Web Hosting package for the Website, so we will be well placed to expand the space on the site as new material/photographs/video comes on board
