Photographed by Walter Pouncy with the church tower in the background and the new Methodist chapel at left. Westbrook Cottage was just south of the river and the site is now occupied by Southbrook Cottages, but the former building had been there since the late 18th Century. It fell into disrepair in about 1908 after having been vacated in 1907.
