After the Village fire of 1788, the Vicar at the time, The Revnd. Thomas Williams, funded the rebuilding of the destroyed Vicarage from his own purse. The building was added to in Victorian times (for example the rendering) and still stands, although now it is a private dwelling. The current Vicarage is a lovely Victorian building next to the church that you can see here
