Now completely gone and replaced by several houses, this building will be very familiar to a lot of people who live in the village now. This picture was taken when the 'For Sale' sign was displayed. The filling station was built in 1956, replacing a large thatched barn after which the new building was named. The houses now on the site were built in 1989.
