The Congregational Chapel

There has been a Congregational Church presence in Bere Regis since 1662. Services were held in a licensed building in Blind Street, then in The Drax Hall which was used as a Chapel. Finally, on 9th February 1893, the building above in Butt Lane, was converted from a schoolroom into the new Congregational Chapel. Bere Heath Methodist Chapel

The Bere Heath Methodist Society was formed sometime between 1815 - 1829 and for its first few decades the meetings were held in a private residence. £121 was raised to build a Chapel which was subsequently opened on 24th October, 1850. It hosted its first ever marriage ceremony on 19th November 1966, after it had been licensed for weddings that year. Services are 3pm on the 1st Sunday of every Month. All Visitors are welcome; the Harvest & Carol Concerts are beautiful.
